Terms & Conditions
Please read these terms carefully. By enrolling or training at Practical Martial Arts, you agree to the following.
1. Membership & Billing
Recurring auto-billing plans charge tuition automatically to the provided payment method on a monthly basis (or as otherwise specified). Members must keep current payment information on file.
Declined or expired payment methods may result in suspension of participation until the account is brought up to date.
2. Cancellations, Freezes & Refunds
A 30-day written notice, via email or the front desk, is required for cancellations or freezes. Billing continues during this notice period. Membership freezes require approval and are limited in duration.
No refunds are issued for unused classes, missed sessions, or partial months once a billing cycle has begun. Special programs may have their own refund policies.
3. Participation & Conduct
Members must maintain respectful and safe conduct at all times. PMA reserves the right to suspend or terminate participation for conduct that endangers the safety or well-being of others. Uniforms and appropriate training attire are required.
4. Health & Safety
Participants affirm they are physically capable of training and agree to disclose any medical conditions, injuries, illnesses, or communicable diseases that might affect participation. Participants voluntarily assume responsibility for their own health and safety.
5. Waiver & Release of Liability
Participants acknowledge that martial arts involves inherent dangers, including the potential for bodily injury, death, and illness. Participants assume all such risks and release Practical Martial Arts and its owners, instructors, employees, agents, volunteers, and affiliates from any liability claims, including those arising from negligence.
6. Photography & Media Release
PMA may use photos or videos from classes and events for marketing and promotional purposes, unless a participant opts out in writing beforehand.
7. Privacy & Communication
Personal information is used solely for operational purposes. PMA does not sell or share your information with third parties. Providing contact information constitutes consent to receive program updates and communications.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute arising from them will be handled in the courts of Marin County, California.
9. Acknowledgment of Understanding
Enrollment confirms that the participant has read and understood all of these terms and agrees to be bound by them.
